Lithium-fluorine granite in the eastern Sayan

Summary:Trace element concentrations (F, Li, Rb, Be, Nb, Sn, Zn, Pb, Y, Yb, and U) from the Sakhir-Shulutynskiy granite are more than twice their Clarke valves. The granite is, therefore, geochemically analogous to the much older Li-F granites of Mongolia and the age range of such granites is extended. Major and trace element values are tabulated. Because Li-F granites may contain Sn, W, and rare metals, and the identification of the eastern Sayan Li-F may be of economic significance. [W.J.F.]
