Summary:A rapid method using I.C.P. for the determination of Sn is described, using an improved ammonium iodide volatilization technique. Two methods of sample introduction were used: a conventional nebulization technique gave a working range from 10 mg/kg to 10% of tin, whereas the other method using the volatile stannane had the much lower range of 0.02-50 mg/kg.
