Summary:This complex comprises the Ayios Photos group, a wholly sedimentary sequence of Triassic to Mid-Cretaceous age; the Dhiarizos group, an early igneous and later sedimentary group of Triassic to Lower Cretaceous age; and the Kathikas formation, an Upper Cretaceous sedimentary melange. High-angle faults and sheared serpentinite form an anastomosing pattern throughout SW Cyprus and mark boundaries between Upper Cretaceous ocean crust (Troodos complex) and Triassic marginal crust (Mamonia complex).
