Summary:Foliated diorite and granodiorite sheets intrude semi-pelitic and amphibolitic gneisses on Sark. They contain a number of xenoliths, some of which are partly assimilated country rocks, and are strongly foliated by pegmatite veins. Major- and trace-element compositions are shown on diagrams, and reflect a degree of contamination and probably also a later low-grade alteration. [A.H.]
