Summary:The 143Nd/144Nd ratios were measured in recent core-top foraminifera from 25 sites throughout the Atlantic Ocean. The average epsilonNd(0) value from this study agrees well with previous estimates of the average Nd isotopic composition of the Atlantic, based on analyses of ferro-manganese deposits and sea-water. The larger database and the nature of the samples allowed identification of distinct provinces of Nd isotopes in the Atlantic. The Nd isotopic ratios of 24 samples from the top 1 cm of 24 carbonate-rich sediments are presented. [P.Br.]
