Summary:Topley & Brown dispute the model proposed and consider that all the evidence supports a primary igneous origin rather than one involving extensive metasomatism, recrystallization and selective rheomorphism of a gabbro. In reply, Bishop & Key maintain that there are certain features of petrography, mineralogy and field relationships which point to a complex sequence of secondary metasomatic recrystallization followed by mobilization.
