Summary:Climatic cyclicity is recorded by regular variations in the thickness of varves in the periglacial lake deposits of South Australia (680 m.y.). These variations support solar variability, with increase in T resulting in a greater annual melt-water discharge and deposition of thicker varves. [R.K.H.]
