Summary:The intrusion of large quartz diorite and granite plutons on southern Senja occurred at 1746 + or - 93 and 1768 + or - 49 m.y. respectively. The plutons are considered late-tectonic and the age of the migmatization on the island is interpreted as Svecofennian and/or older. [G.R.]
