A resource assessment of copper and nickel sulfides within the Mountain View area of the Stillwater Complex, Montana

Summary:Fault-bounded blocks in the Mountain View area were penetrated by >110 drill-holes. Recovered cores were analysed for concentrations of Cu and Ni. Grades of both Cu and Ni tend to decrease with increasing distance above and below the contact of the basal series with underlying metasedimentary rocks. Estimates of tonnage and ore-grade are given for two fault-bounded blocks. Additional data are needed to reduce uncertainties in these estimates and to evaluate the potential of other fault blocks.
