Summary:The chapter contains a selection of photographs showing striking or unusual layering not discussed elsewhere in the text, or representing rock types not otherwise treated. Rocks covered include nepheline syenite from the Coldwell complex in Ontario, syenite from the Nunarssuit and Kungnat formations of S Greenland, gabbros from the Fongen-Hyllingen and Lykling complexes in Norway and granites from the Nunarssuit and Pyramidefjeld complexes in Greenland. Also illustrated are diorites (Greenland), anorthosites and ultramafic rocks (Norway), and peridotites and troctolites from Scotland. [S.K.]
