Summary:The chemistry of pyroxenes from four samples of these dolerites [M.M.50-491] is investigated in detail and shows a wide spread of compositions across the pyroxene quadrilateral. In contrast, the pyroxenes in Tertiary olivine dolerite dykes of SE Greenland are relatively uniform pigeonite-augite pairs. The significance of the coexisting Fe-Ti oxide phases in these two rock types is discussed. [R.A.H.]
