Summary:Karstic cavities in Cambro-Ordovician dolomite in the E Pyrenees are filled with baryte on a coat of earlier quartz and sulphides (tetrahedrite-tennantite, chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite). The mineralization is situated under an erosive surface covered by a red beds sequence which also contains disseminations of baryte. Deposition probably involved precipitation from initially acidic solutions which filled earlier cavities. Probe analyses for 17 zincian tetrahedrite-tennantites are tabulated. [R.A.H.]
