Summary:Details of Dalradian stratigraphy and sedimentology of this area are presented. The Dalradian succession represents tectonic stratigraphy, juxtaposed along and younging away from a major tectonic slide--the Central Donegal slide. Rocks previously assigned to the Lower (Appin group) Dalradian now represent part of the Middle (Argyll group) Dalradian. Volcanic clasts and greenbeds are reported from the lower part of the Middle Dalradian. [R.K.H.]
