Summary:The auriferous arsenopyrite-bearing quartz veins at this mine were emplaced along brittle structures acting as dextral shear faults as a result of early Stephanian NNE-SSW compression. The polybreccia character of the veins reflects sequential quartz emplacement, apparently controlled by the fault movements, with each quartz sequence representing P solution-deposition followed by rupture.
