Summary:PGE mineralization in this complex is summarized and analyses of > 60 diamond drill hole cores presented as element profiles showing vertical variations. Constraints are placed from these results on relative values of sulphide liquid-silicate liquid partition coefficients for the various PGEs, Au, Cu and Ni by computer modelling of offset profiles at Munni Munni. The modelling procedure and refinements are described. The central assumption that sulphide liquid was the sole collector of the PGEs is incorrect, and an alternative explanation involving precipitation of solid PGE phases within sulphide liquid droplets at magmatic T is proposed.
