Summary:A technique for determining experimentally activity coefficients for H2O in fluid mixtures is presented using a new function signH2O buffer which works through the simultaneous control of function signO2 and function signH2 using an function signO2 buffer and the Shaw hydrogen membrane, respectively, thus buffering the function signH2O of a fluid at equilibrium through H2 + 1/2 O2 = H2O. Fugacity coefficients and activity coefficients for H2O in fluid mixtures are reported, and the results discussed. [R.K.H.]
