Summary:The calc-alkaline typology of the Moncoutant and Le Tallud quartz- diorites, confirmed by new major and trace element data, and the zircon U-Pb ages (373+6-11 m.y.) obtained on Le Tallud pluton show that these intrusions represent the NW extension of the 'Limousin tonalitic line'. [M.L.]
