Summary:End-member novacekite and the lower hydrate metanovacekite have been confirmed on specimens from disused mine workings at West Wheal Owles, St Just [M.M. 56-261]. The novacekite lined a small vug in quartz sulphide veinstone containing chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and sphalerite; the Mg would have come from the mafic hornfels of the wall rock. [R.A.H.]
