Summary:Fission track age of authigenic apatite from twenty-two samples of the Jiyang Depression have been determined and the results was compared with of paleomagnetic and K-Ar age data. The agreement between the age data indicates that the method is feasible for age determination of sediments. The paper also suggested a new division of Guantao basal conglomerate. [R.E.S.]
