Summary:SEM-EDX analysis of hydroxyl-chlorapatite from Gunheath china clay pit, St Austell, gave Mn 3.8, Fe 1.9, Ca 33.9, P 18.2, Cl 3.7, O 38.5, = 100.0; a 9.537, c 6.799 Å, V 535.5 Å3, space group P63/m. This chlorapatite occurs as a pale brown-cream encrustation on a complex matrix of mixed phosphates, including barbosalite. [R.A.H.]
