Summary:Fluid inclusion research of granodioritic quartz, from samples close to the contact with skarnized carbonates at the Vyhne-Klokoc skarn deposit, discovered numerous iron chloride-bearing daughter minerals. Based on SEM-EDS results, optical properties and dissolution behaviour on heating, the probable presence of erythrosiderite (and/or FeCl2 hydrates) and ferropyrosmalite daughter minerals are suggested. The identification of ferropyrosmalite was further successfully proved by in situ laser Raman analyses. [Š.D.]
