Summary:The dominantly lherzolitic mantle sequences from the Lizard have characteristics suggesting low degrees of depletion; they contain a variety of PGM associated with magmatic clinopyroxene and sulphide minerals. Similar assemblages occur in the upper mantle section from Troodos ophiolite complex, but, in contrast, no PGM or other associated minerals have been found in the highly depleted harzburgites from Tonga.
