Summary:This mineralization occurs in Palaeozoic metasediments formed under low-grade conditions at 350-450°C and 3-5 kbar. The ore minerals are siderite, Zn-rich chrome-spinel, ferrichromite, magnetite, Mn-ankerite and sulphides, with a gangue of feldspars, fuchsite and baryte. The Cr-spinels and hyalophane are interpreted as products of retrogressive hydrothermal activity during the final uplift of the Dinarides. [R.A.H.]
