Summary:Brick-red carbonate veins occur in an Archaean granite-gneiss occur at Petäiskosi containing calcite (Sr 0-2%), bastnäsite (Sr 0-20%) and baryte. The calcite has δ 13C -15.50 and δ 18O 18.390/00. A carbonatitic origin is suggested. [R.A.H.]
