Summary:In 2002 some of the authors examined specimens collected in two tunnels of the old silver mine located in Biò, Borgofranco, Torino, Piedmont, Italy. Some interesting unusual minerals were noticed, including a red sulfosalt. Analyses of the specimens have led to the identification of a number of sulfides and sulfosalts, some of them exceptional for the beauty of the crystals and/or for the rarity of the species: boulangerite, bournonite, diaphorite, fizélyite, freibergite, geocronite, pyrargyrite, pyrostilpnite, semseyite. Other minerals identified or described are: acanthite, anglesite, aragonite, arsenic, arsenolite, barite, calcite, chalcopyrite, cerussite, covellite(?), dickite, dolomite, galena, gold, gypsum, graphite, marcasite, miargyrite, mimetite, orpiment, pyrite, quartz, segnitite, silver(?), sphalerite, siderite, sulphur, stibnite(?), tetrahedrite, and some unidentified minerals.
