Summary:A fragment of Neolithic hammer made from eclogite has been found among numerous artefactors from the archaeology site of Ntriansky Hradok. It is suggested that the raw eclogite material was derived from gravels of the River Danube, deposited eastwards of the Alps. [R.A.H.]
